 Internet and me 

I found a very interesting page, that can help people with their addiction to the internet. We can all agree that the COVID 19 lockdown did not help us to be more social and less addicted. If you are interested in getting to know more about the media, the usage of our devices, screen time, and how to cope with yourself, the Internet and me workshops are here to help. 

The webinars take part frequently all around the world. Of course, we can not travel everywhere and that is why you can join the webinar online, through the internet, usually via Zoom.

In every session, there are at least three talkers (physiotherapists, psychologists, members of technology companies, scientists, professors and more) that try to explain the problems and try to help you with your issues. I have gone through some of the events that took place in the last few months. 

One of the most interesting to me is the "Minds on Media: The Associations between Screen Engagement and Children’s Developing Brains." As children are the next generation we need to take care of them, and the screen time, as we already know, is not helping them to evolve and to become social. It is actually hurting them more and more. So maybe if we understand the problem, we can then teach it to our kids at home or to our friends. 

Another three days long webinar is the "International Training school on Problematic Usage of the Internet in a changing society." The discussions are about new developments in Interventions and Services for Problematic Usage of the Internet. There is also a session about mental health problems such as anxiety and depressive symptoms, and coping with internet usage by understanding our brain.
