Social Media is becoming more than Social Interaction
Hello to everyone!
I would like to introduce you to my blog with this short post :-)
I am interested in this topic because I feel like people are now more keen on using social media than on having a normal conversation. I do not know if I am old style, but I hate being hidden behind screens instead of communicating.
Each person needs to have social contact since birth so that he can develop normally. There is evidence to show that when children grow up isolated and alone they cannot speak, walk, smile nor interact with others.
If we compare this to todays society we can see some similarities. Hand on your heart: how many kids around you can use electronic devices before they can actually talk or walk?
This issue can have a negative and damaging impact on our next generation. Adults and youth will not be able to talk with each other. Instead, everything will be done electronically.
I want to find out the How and Why are we getting into this electronic stage.
Everyone but mainly parents and adolescents should help to overcome this problem and make meaningful conversations a thing again and I want to help them.
I hope there are people interested in this topic and want to find out something more about it.

Hello! I agree with what you say about how constant use of electronic devices can affect in different areas. I have a sibling that was exposed to internet, videogames, Tv, etc. since she was a kid. This basically became her daily life, and now she is struggling with interacting with people.
ReplyDeleteAndrea thank you for your comment. Indeed this is a big problem referring right to my thoughts. I hope she will get better, slowly step by step. Maybe start to get to talk with you (and the family) at first and then some friends. :)
DeleteHey Roza, hope you have a nice day. You wrote very truthful opinions. Last year, I uninstalled almost every social media platform for a week, and I suddenly had so much time and didn't know how to use it. It opened my eyes that social media and interaction through it, is an addiction and it is incomparable with the real conversation face to face. I would recommend to everyone to try to uninstall the most used apps for a few days and see what happens. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
ReplyDeleteDear femmelikeyou, I think what you did was a big step in today's world. Social media platforms have such a big impact on our day to day lives, it is so scary and it is getting worse.. Thank you for sharing this with me! :)
DeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteYour blog really highlights an issue that is very relevant. Recently with all the discussion about the 'meta-verse', people living to show off their lives on social media, etc, even education is becoming more online-based. it makes me wonder what is too far? and what will our lives look like in 5-10 years.
